Dear friends,

This week I attended our annual Baptist Ministers’ Conference down at Ashburnham near Battle. There were about 80 of us pastors from different Baptist churches across the region. As usual it was a good opportunity to network and hear input from across our association. But this time - perhaps more than ever before - there was genuine excitement at what God is doing in different places. There was a hunger and anticipation among many that I don’t think I’d seen before. At early morning prayers the room was full - whereas previously there’d just been a handful in attendance. There were also the stories of heartache and challenge but the atmosphere was...hopeful. 

Here in Pembury we are anticipating what the Holy Spirit has in store for us at our Going Deeper conference tomorrow. On Sunday at 10am the team from Eastgate School of Spiritual Life will be back with us. Team leader Janice Pleasants will be sharing on ‘Encountering Jesus in our Everyday Lives’ (Psalm 139) and after the livestream has ended team members will be sharing words of knowledge, testimony and more. I invite you to come along to ’taste and see that the LORD is good’ (Ps. 34:8).
