Overview - Pastor, Eldership, Deacons and Event Leaders

Pembury Baptist Church is served by a committed team of men and women who have responsibility and accountability for particular areas with PBC's ministries.

Each year, if you have committed to membership of Pembury Baptist Church, you have an opportunity to influence the leadership of your church at the highest level by participating in the Elder election process. A central theme of the New Testament is that the church needs to be led by a plurality of godly leaders and that plurality of leadership extends to the Elder's empowerment of the Staff Team and Deacons.

The tasks and responsibilities of the Elders vary greatly and require discernment, as they strive to keep the church on its biblical course. On a daily basis, and in our two meetings each month, the Elders team tackle key issues facing the church. These include (not exhaustive!)
o Creating policy in terms of belief or biblical interpretation
o Dealing with social issues
o Handling financial concerns
o Conflict resolution, discipline and restoration
o Supporting the Staff Team and Deacons
o Ensuring effective pastoral care throughout the congregation

In this process, we are looking for more than spiritual qualifications, people who have embraced the mission and vision of PBC, who are investing in the lives of unbelievers, and who are actively serving in the furthering of God's Kingdom.

Mince Pie Bake Off - Wednesday 19th December

Are you ready for our annual Mince Pie Bake Off on Wednesday 19th December starting at 7.30pm (please note the date change)? At the same time as cooking the mince pies for the Carols by Candlelight refreshments, we have a friendly competition to bake the best looking mince pies! Pembury Messy Church - Saturday 8th December

The next full Pembury Messy Church will be at Messy Christmas at Pembury Baptist Church from 11am-1pm on Saturday 8th December for a mixture of themed craft, activities, talk, song and food.  Please do book in and letting us know any allergies by calling 01892 825590 or by emailing office@pemburybaptistchurch.org.  You can also book through St Peter's Church Office on 824761 or emailing office@pemburychurch.net.


PBC Prayer Meeting - Tuesday 4th December
