PBC Leadership

Overview - Pastor, Eldership, Deacons and Event Leaders

Pembury Baptist Church is served by a committed team of men and women who have responsibility and accountability for particular areas with PBC's ministries.

Pastor (email: pastor@pemburybaptistchurch.org)
Rev. Dan Foster became Pastor at Pembury Baptist Church on 1st July 2018.

Eldership (E-mail elders@pemburybaptistchurch.org)

Each year, if you have committed to membership of Pembury Baptist Church, you have an opportunity to influence the leadership of your church at the highest level by participating in the Elder election process. A central theme of the New Testament is that the church needs to be led by a plurality of godly leaders and that plurality of leadership extends to the Elder's empowerment of the Staff Team and Deacons.

The tasks and responsibilities of the Elders vary greatly and require discernment, as they strive to keep the church on its biblical course. On a daily basis, and in our two meetings each month, the Elders team tackle key issues facing the church. These include (not exhaustive!)
o Creating policy in terms of belief or biblical interpretation
o Dealing with social issues
o Handling financial concerns
o Conflict resolution, discipline and restoration
o Supporting the Staff Team and Deacons
o Ensuring effective pastoral care throughout the congregation

In this process, we are looking for more than spiritual qualifications, people who have embraced the mission and vision of PBC, who are investing in the lives of unbelievers, and who are actively serving in the furthering of God's Kingdom.

Our Eldership Team is:

Richard Beeching
Elected Elder

Brian Hill
Elected Elder

Daph Beard

Elected Elder and Treasurer

Chris Leigh
Elected Elder
Gail Chaput
Elected Elder
