PBC Vision

2015 saw the beginning of focussed prayer for the vision for PBC that the Elders and previous Pastor Dave shared with the church members.  PBC heard from the pulpit about the whole of PBC focussing on being a 'church without walls'

Members in the church responded to the time of prayer and reflection and listening to God's will for mission at PBC - for becoming a 'church without walls' with several different ideas including building a community in the street they live, going into the local elderly and disabled people's homes with a focussed type of messy church, providing a cafe in the Church and a daytime group for the marginalised to mention a few.

It was decided to provide these missions through the use of missional communities, groups of people who have a heart for a particular area of ministry, who worship together, serve together and church together.  Several outreaches have begun including Apples of Gold, the team that take church to the older generation and the infirm in residential flats and homes in Pembury and the Kingdom Cafe, offering a monthly free cafe for everyone in Pembury with books to browse, a children's table and time to sit, chat and relax in the Church foyer.

We pray for the fulfilment of God's will in this 'church without walls' as it gradually comes to fruition and we give thanks for the response to Apples of Gold and the Kingdom Cafe.
